The Oasis, Logan
County's senior citizen center, 501 Pulaski St. in Lincoln, is open
weekdays (except holidays) from 9 a.m. to 4 p.m. The center is also
open on Friday and Sunday nights for table games. Dominic Dalpoas is
the executive director. Activities are open to all Logan County
senior citizens, regardless of membership.
A new sponsor will be calling bingo on
Thursday. Join us at noon for a sandwich lunch, courtesy of St.
Clara's Manor, and stay for bingo starting at 1 p.m. Be on hand to
help us welcome St. Clara's.
Pick up your $3.50 lunch ticket by noon
Friday for pork chops, green beans, salad, drink and dessert served
at 11:30 a.m. June 1.
The Oasis will be closed May 31 in
commemoration of Memorial Day. Join us at 9 a.m. Tuesday for
regularly scheduled activities.
Appointments are still open for
Tuesday, June 1, between 1 and 3:30 p.m., to have your medications,
both prescribed and over-the-counter, evaluated for drug
interaction. A registered pharmacist will provide this free service.

Call to make a hearing screening
appointment for Wednesday, June 2, between 10 a.m. and noon. The
service is free. If you need a hearing aid and are on limited
income, he Hearing Aid Center will work with you to obtain a
refurbished hearing aid.

pinochle honors, with Les Van Bibber and Esther Will winning the
weekend honors. Louise Wiebers and Dorthey Oltmanns won 5 in 1.
