In addition to shooting well from the
field, the Lynx connected on 20 of 31 free-throw attempts in the
second half to seal the victory. Lincoln College led at halftime by
a 45-39 margin, connecting on 18 of 34 attempts from the floor.
Kaskaskia stayed in the game by making five of nine shots from
3-point range in the opening half.
Michael Henderson and Rodney Williams
paced the Lincoln College attack with 28 and 25 points respectively.
Henderson had an outstanding shooting night, making eight of 11
field goal attempts and 12 of 15 free throws. He was also the
leading rebounder for the Lynx with 11. Joining the pair in double
figures were Nick Malone with 11 and Jake Littrel with 10.
Kaskaskia had four players in double
figures, with Trey Williams leading the way with 22. The hosts won
the rebounding battle by a 36-32 margin.
Jason Moore led the Lynx with seven
assists and one steal.
