Kristin Majka had seven kills, seven points and four digs to lead
the Lincoln College attack while Samantha McCoy had 11 digs and four
points. Also contributing were Rosie Miller with 13 set assists and
five points, Kristen Meminger with four kills and five points,
Jennifer Stedman with three digs, and Misty Fry with a pair of digs.
"We played a very good match against a great team," said Lincoln
coach Mark Tippett. "We played with a lot of heart and energy and
the first game was a real battle, but we came up on the short end.
Our girls never gave up and surprised the number two seed a little.
I am extremely proud of the effort we gave tonight, and we had a
great season.
"We won 21 matches, a great improvement over the seven wins from
last season. Our sophomores stepped up and did a good job, and we
also got a lot of contributions from our freshmen members. It was
just a great season."
