Dominic Dalpoas, executive director
of the senior center, has scheduled the program for 1 p.m. Thursday,
Nov. 11 (Veterans Day), at the center. Oasis members and the general
public are invited to attend.
In advance of the program, residents
are invited to stop at the senior center or at Heartland's campus at
620 Broadway to pick up the recently published article "Vachel
Lindsay: Springfield's Ambassador of Culture," written by Cynthia A.
Fuener. The article is in the latest issue of Historic Illinois and
provides excellent background information about the Lindsay's life
and career.
