Tourism contest winners for
October:
Vernon Gehlbach won the Tourist Find contest and received a polo
shirt.
Dave Hawkinson won the slogan contest and received a travel mug.
November contests:
Volunteer Historian
The Abraham Lincoln Tourism Bureau is moving soon to a new
location, 1555 Fifth St., and wants to decorate the lobby area with
Route 66 memorabilia. These items will be rotated periodically, but
as items provided by individuals are displayed, recognition of the
contribution will also be displayed. If you contribute to the
display, you will receive a free travel mug from the tourism bureau.
Deadline: Receipt by 5 p.m. Nov. 30
Tourist Find
Find the old Illinois Terminal building in Logan County. Take
your picture by the building and send or bring it to the local
tourism office no later than the deadline. Your name will be placed
in a drawing for a tourism bureau polo shirt with your choice of
colors.

Contest rules
All entries must be submitted to the Abraham Lincoln Tourism
Bureau of Logan County, 303 S. Kickapoo St., Lincoln, IL 62656. All
submissions must be received in the main office by the contest
deadline. Any professional historian or any person having received
any payment or compensation in connection with collecting or
receiving historical documentation or evaluation, or any person or
family member associated with or to Abraham Lincoln Tourism Bureau
of Logan County or the Logan County Board is not eligible.

Town" and "WNL,"
www.lincolndailynews.com, FIX 96 "Morning Fix," and in The
Courier and Pantagraph.
