LC men defeat Rend Lake     Send a link to a friend

[NOV. 15, 2004]  ULLIN -- Lincoln College raised its men's basketball record to 4-0 with a 68-63 victory over Rend Lake here Saturday evening.

The Lynx were led by Michael Henderson and Aaron Williams with 13 points each. Nick Malone pulled down eight rebounds and Henderson added seven to lead the Lynx on the boards, while Rodney Williams led the way with six assists. Lincoln College hit 26 of 55 field goal attempts but was able to make just 12 of 27 from the free-throw line.

"We continue to play great defense, but we need to improve on our shooting," said Lincoln coach B.J. McCullum said. "We have been able to get good shots, we just aren't knocking them down. Our free-throw shooting the past two nights has not been good, but we are doing a good job of going to the boards and getting put-back shots."

Jason Hinds pumped in 23 points to lead Rend Lake.  The Lynx led 31-18 at half-time, and held on for the victory.
