[NOV. 17, 2004]  SPRINGFIELD -- The chief executive officer of Blue Cross and Blue Shield of Illinois will give the keynote address Monday at the Governor's Business Summit on After-school. The summit will run from 9 a.m. to 4 p.m. at 300 E. Randolph and will attract an estimated 300 of the state's top corporate leaders, educators, legislators and human service providers.

Designed to develop a public-private partnership supporting quality activities of school-age children in communities across the state, the summit will unveil the plans to develop regional business collaborations on after-school in each of the state's 10 Opportunity Returns economic development regions.

The Illinois Department of Human Services and the Illinois State Board of Education will host the event.
