The Oasis, Logan
County's senior citizen center, 501 Pulaski St. in Lincoln, is open
weekdays (except holidays) from 9 a.m. to 4 p.m. The center is also
open on Friday and Sunday nights for table games. Dominic Dalpoas is
the executive director. Activities are open to all Logan County
senior citizens, regardless of membership.

Christmas
bazaar open house
Christmas open house at the senior
center will be Nov. 18, 19 and 20 from 10 a.m. to 3 p.m. Start your
holiday shopping by visiting the Oasis Gift Shop. Great gift ideas.
SHARE
food is coming Friday
Self Help and Resource Exchange food
orders may be picked up between 4 and 5:30 p.m. Friday. December
orders may be placed at that time also. The Catholic Diocese of
Peoria sponsors the program, which is open to everyone, regardless
of faith, age or income.
Memories
class will meet Friday
The monthly Memories class is
scheduled for 3:45 p.m. Friday in the Oasis library. No reservation
is necessary. Participants should bring their own pen and paper to
learn skills needed to preserve memories for families and friends.
Tuesday
lunch
The 11:30 a.m. lunch on Nov. 23 will
feature ham and bean soup, coleslaw, corn bread and butter, dessert
and a soft drink for only $3.75. The ticket purchase deadline is
noon Monday.

Veterans
The VA representative will be
available Nov. 23 between 9 and 11:45 a.m.
Oasis
will be closed for holiday
The Oasis will be closed Nov. 25 and
26 for the Thanksgiving holiday. Activities will resume at 9 a.m.
Monday.
Winners
announced
Linda Hughes and Dolly Mears were
weekday winners for pinochle. The weekend winners were Linda Hughes,
Louise Wiebers, Bernie DePuy and Pauline Boward.
