Cook update     Send a link to a friend

[NOV. 18, 2004]  Lincoln's Brian Cook led the LA Lakers to another victory as they beat the LA Clippers 103-89. Cook scored 12 points and hauled down five rebounds in 26 minutes of action.  Cook is featured today on the Lakers' official website at www.nba.com/games/20041117/LACLAL/recap.html.

"I know I can shoot," Cook said. "I try to space the floor out a little bit. I know a lot of big guys don't want to come out and guard me, so if I set a good pick, our guard is going to get open. And if he can shoot like Chucky can, he's going to get good points out of that."

Next up for Cook and the Lakers is a trip to the desert, where they will take on the red-hot Phoenix Suns Friday night, while members of Cook's former team, the Illinois Fighting Illini, open their 2004-5 campaign by hosting Delaware State.
