[NOV. 22, 2004]  CANTON -- Lincoln College broke open a close game with a strong second-half showing to down Shawnee 84-70 in women's basketball action here Saturday afternoon. The victory evens the Lynx record at 3-3 prior to a home game Tuesday against McKendree at 6 p.m.

The Lady Lynx held a slim 37-33 lead at the half before scoring 47 second-half points, with Jessica Hamman and Nicole White leading the way with 15 and 12 points respectively. Irma Cruz had a complete game for the Lynx as she led all Lincoln College scorers with 19 points, 10 in the first half. Hamman finished the game with 17 points and White added 16. Carmen Weaver also reached double figures for Lincoln coach Carol Wilson with 15 points.

Shawnee was led by Griffin's 19 points, while Coleman added 11.
