Lincoln College students Betsy Buttell and Josh Sebeny, both of
Lincoln, have been cast in the upcoming performance of "Picnic" by William Inge.
The drama is the second performance of the season and starts Dec. 2 at the
Johnston Center for Performing Arts on the campus of Lincoln College.
Buttell, a sophomore, is a 2003 graduate of Lincoln Community High
School. She has been cast in the role of Irma Kronkite. She is the
daughter of Mark and Linda Buttell of Lincoln.
Sebeny, a freshman, is a 2004 graduate of Lincoln Community High
School. He has been cast in the role of Bomber. He is the son of
Delmar and Dawn Nadeau of Lincoln.
"Picnic" is based on the tale of a
stranger who comes to town and unwittingly becomes a catalyst for
change. "Picnic" shakes up the lives of its typical characters,
dredging up suppressed feelings and buried resentments. In this
Pulitzer Prize-winning classic, Inge depicts the pleasure -- and the
pain -- of risking everything to choose your own path.
