and Southeastern Iowa    

[NOV. 29, 2004]  BURLINGTON, Iowa -- Southeastern Iowa handed Lincoln College its first loss of the season here Saturday night, 83-78. The Lynx defeated Kirkwood, Mo., on Friday by the score of 72-65.

Against Southeastern, the Lynx were able to hit just eight of 25 first-half shots as they fell behind 45-25 at halftime. Southeastern, 7-2, connected on 17 of 33 first-half shots to take control of the game.

However, the Lynx battled back in the second half and knotted the score at 76-76 with two minutes remaining. The hosts were able to secure the win with a 7-2 run to end the game. LC hit 19 of 30 second-half shots, including 5-of-10 from 3-point range, to get back in the game.

Five Lincoln College players were in double figures, with Jake Littrel netting 14 to lead the way. Brad Howell, Michael Henderson, Brandon Alexander and Jason Moore each added double figures. Henderson pulled down nine rebounds to lead the Lynx, and Moore had six assists.

Against Kirkwood on Friday, Henderson and Rodney Williams both scored 20 points to lead the Lynx to victory. Littrel added 12 points for Lincoln coach B.J. McCullum. Henderson again led the Lynx on the boards with 11, and Moore contributed five assists.

Lincoln College shot 48 percent for the game and dominated the boards with a huge margin of 33-12. Kirkwood led the Lynx 34-30 at halftime, but the Lynx outscored the Missouri school 42-31 in the second half.
