Cook update     Send a link to a friend

By Jeff Mayfield

[NOV. 30, 2004]  Professional basketball player Brian Cook continues his solid play under new LA Laker coach Rudy Tomjanovich. In LA's 89-76 thrashing of the New Orleans Hornets, Cook netted 10 points to go along with a rebound and a blocked shot in nearly 20 minutes of action. The win moved the Lakers' record to 8-6.

Next up for the Lakers and Cook are games tonight in Milwaukee (a little over four hours by car) and tomorrow night in Chicago.

Cook will be warming up at the United Center while his former Illini mates will be tackling the No. 1 Wake Forest Demon Deacons. A good omen to have Cook in Illinois, as usually good things happen when Cook is around!
