Caring seminar open to the public     Send a link to a friend

[OCT. 1, 2004]  Some decisions in life are not "fun" and often are put off until an emergency arises. A local program is planned to help people deal proactively with guardianship and end-of-life issues.

Following worship services on Oct. 10, the Outreach Ministry of St. John United Church of Christ is hosting a caring seminar, "Making Your Wishes Known." Chuck and Nathan Fricke, both of Mount Pulaski, will lead the program, which is scheduled to begin at 1:15 p.m. and last two hours. The church is located at the corner of Seventh and Maple in Lincoln.

Expected topics include wills, memorials, living wills, nursing home selection, appointment of executors, guardianship of children and elderly, organ donation, power of attorney, and medical power of attorney. Because these topics are so important, this program will be open to the public.

All ages are encouraged to attend. Materials will be furnished and there will be time for questions.

Although there is no charge, the church asks those interested to call so that adequate materials will be available. Reservations can be secured by calling the church office at 732-6957. If you have any questions, call Tonita Reifsteck at 732-9796.
