The membership is contingent on Lincoln
Christian's successful completion of the NCAA membership process,
which the college is currently working through.
The Preachers will be eligible for
conference championships in 2006-07 but will not be eligible to
participate in postseason tournaments in the conference and NCAA
until the NCAA membership process has been completed.
"Lincoln Christian has made a solid
commitment to bring its athletic program up to NCAA Division III
standards. They already have an excellent volleyball program, and
their other sports and facilities are being upgraded and new sports
are being added. We look forward to having them in our conference
because they share our athletic philosophy and values," said
Meckfessel.
The eight current members of the
St. Louis Intercollegiate Athletic
Conference are Blackburn College, Fontbonne University,
Greenville College, MacMurray College, Maryville University,
Principia College, Webster University and Westminster College.

conference conducts championships in baseball, men's basketball,
women's basketball, men's cross country, women's cross country,
men's golf, men's soccer, women's soccer, softball, men's tennis,
women's tennis and women's volleyball and has an automatic qualifier
for NCAA tournaments in the seven team sports.
