LCC will be adding a bachelor of arts
degree in early childhood education. The Illinois State Board of
Education is currently certifying the program.
Once certified, the college will offer
Illinois teacher certificates for birth through third grade to
graduates of this professional education program.
Final approval for the institution
and the initial program is anticipated for the summer of 2005.
