Volunteer historian contest
As legend has it, Al Capone frequently visited and stayed in
Logan County has a "home away from home" retreat here. Provide valid
documentation of Al Capone in Logan County and receive a free travel
mug from the Abraham Lincoln Tourism Bureau of Logan County.
Contest deadline: Receipt at the local tourism office by 5 p.m.

Tourist Find contest
In the "spirit" of ghosts, goblins and spooky things, find this
picture [to be posted] of the marker designating a site in Logan County where
conspirers plotted to steal and hide the body of President Abraham
Lincoln. Take your picture with the marker and send or bring it in
to the local tourism office no later than the deadline. Your name
will be placed in a drawing for a tourism bureau polo shirt with
your choice of colors!

Contest rules
All entries must be submitted to the Abraham Lincoln Tourism
Bureau of Logan County, 303 S. Kickapoo Street, Lincoln, IL 62656.
All submissions must be received in the main office by the contest
deadline date. Any professional historian, or any person having
received any payment or compensation in connection with collecting
or receiving historical documentation or evaluation, or any person
or family member associated with the local tourism bureau or the
Logan County Board is not eligible.
