[OCT. 7, 2004]  SPRINGFIELD -- Robert Morris defeated the Lincoln College women's soccer team 7-1 in action here Tuesday night. Lincoln College drops to 1-12 for the season and will play Lewis & Clark at Godfrey on Oct. 12 in their next action.

Sarah Musser scored the lone LC goal on a free kick with eight minutes left in the match. Lincoln College attempted nine shots on goal, while Robert Morris created 20 shots.

"It was a cold night game and hard-fought, but we allowed too many shots at close range," Lincoln coach Aaron Paskvan said. "We moved the ball much better and had opportunities; they just came up with some big saves. They scored two goals on corner kicks early and we never recovered."
