On Saturday the Lynx bounced back to defeat Carl
Sandburg by scores of 30-17, 30-21, 30-12 and then beat Illinois
Valley 33-31, 23-30, 30-26, 19-30, 15-10. Vincennes then downed the
Lynx in their final match by scores of 30-17, 30-19, 30-20.
"It was a long day on Friday, our passing was poor, and we did not
communicate well on offense or defense," Lincoln coach Mark Tippett
said. "We did bounce back to pick up two solid wins on Saturday. The
Illinois Valley match went five games, and it took a lot out of us
as we had no rest period before playing Vincennes. Overall, I was
pleased with the effort we put forth, and I am sure our players had
fun."
