[OCT. 21, 2004]  Springfield College handed Lincoln College a 3-1 defeat in women's soccer action at Lincoln Wednesday afternoon. It was the final regular-season game for the Lynx, 1-15, prior to beginning tournament action at the Eastside Complex in East Peoria Sunday at noon against Illinois Central.

Chelsey Molln scored the lone Lincoln College goal on an assist from Chris Rivera in the 55th minute of the contest. Renshaw scored two of the SCI goals and Catherwood scored the other goal.

"The girls put forth a great effort and I am proud of their heart," said Lincoln coach Aaron Paskvan. "We had several good opportunities and I felt like we could score some more, but the game had to be called because of darkness."

Lincoln College had 13 shots on goal and Springfield had 10 shots.
