"We played a strong match from
beginning to end tonight (Wednesday)," said Lincoln coach Mark
Tippett. "Our outside hitters (Majka and Meminger) did an
outstanding job of putting balls away for important side-outs. Our
blocking was strong, the passing was consistent, and our defensive
intensity was as good as it has been all season. This was a solid
win over a conference opponent that we have had trouble beating the
past three or four years."
Leading the Lynx to victory, Kristin Majka had 12 kills, 17 points
and two aces while Kristen Meminger had nine kills and six blocks.
Also contributing with strong games were Victoria Tuttle with six
kills and one block; Rosie Miller with 14 set assists, six points
and two digs; and Sarah Klawitter with 12 set assists, five points
and one ace.
The Lynx are at home Thursday at
6:30 p.m. against Carl Sandburg College.
