The Oasis, Logan
County's senior citizen center, 501 Pulaski St. in Lincoln, is open
weekdays (except holidays) from 9 a.m. to 4 p.m. The center is also
open on Friday and Sunday nights for table games. Dominic Dalpoas is
the executive director. Activities are open to all Logan County
senior citizens, regardless of membership.
support group will meet
The regular monthly meeting of the
Alzheimer support group is scheduled for 1 p.m. Thursday at the
senior center. No reservation is necessary. Support and information
are available for anyone who needs assistance.

All Oasis board meetings are open to
the public, and the October meeting is scheduled for 5 p.m.
Thursday. To schedule any item on the agenda, notification must be
received in writing on or before the fifth day of the month prior to
the meeting date.
order pickup Friday
Remember to pick up your October
food orders from 4 to 5:30 p.m. Friday and place your orders for
next month. The reduced-cost food program is sponsored by the
Diocese of Peoria and is open to anyone regardless of age or income.
The Memories class will meet at 3:45
p.m. Friday in the senior center library. The group develops skills
for writing family memories. No reservation is needed to participate
in the free sessions.

The 11:30 a.m. lunch on Tuesday,
Oct. 26, will feature spaghetti with meat sauce, green beans, garlic
bread, dessert and a soft drink for only $3.75. The ticket purchase
deadline is noon Monday.
