Lincoln College scholarship awards announced:

Tungate awarded Xamis Ford-Lincoln-Mercury Scholarship     Send a link to a friend

[SEPT. 1, 2004]  Tiffany Tungate is this year's recipient of the Xamis Ford-Lincoln-Mercury Scholarship at Lincoln College.

Tungate, a freshman, is a 2004 graduate of Lincoln Community High School. She is taking liberal arts courses at Lincoln College and plans to transfer to a four-year university after graduating. Tungate is the daughter of Diane Tungate of Lincoln. 

The $1,000 Xamis Ford-Lincoln-Mercury Scholarship is awarded annually to a worthy student in good academic standing.

Davis awarded Gallagher Memorial Scholarship

[SEPT. 1, 2004]  Alexandrea Davis, daughter of Jim Davis and Beth Davis, both of Lincoln, is this year's recipient of the Warren W. Gallagher Memorial Scholarship at Lincoln College.

Davis, a 2004 Lincoln Community High School graduate, is taking liberal arts courses at Lincoln College and plans to pursue a degree in fashion design. She is active on the 2004 women's soccer team.

The Warren W. Gallagher Memorial Scholarship is awarded to a worthy student and is given in memory of Warren Gallagher, a former Lincoln College trustee.

Hartem graduates awarded Behrends Scholarship

[SEPT. 1, 2004]  Sophomores Brian Lechleiter and Joshua Anderson and freshman Blaen Fletcher are this year's recipients of the Anna K. and Bernard E. Behrends Scholarship at Lincoln College. All are graduates of Hartsburg-Emden High School.

Lechleiter, son of Edward and Barbara Lechleiter of Lincoln, is studying liberal arts and plans to continue his education after Lincoln College.

 

 

Anderson, son of Richard and Cindy Anderson of Hartsburg, is studying general education courses. 

 

 

 

Fletcher, son of Mike and Cleola Fletcher of Emden, plans to pursue a degree in physical education. He is also active with the Lynx baseball team.

 

The Anna K. and Bernard E. Behrends Scholarship is awarded to students with good academic standing who graduated from surrounding county high schools. The award honors Behrends siblings Bernard, from the Lincoln College class of 1948, and Anna, from the class of '36.
