"I felt we played a good physical match
and showed flashes of ideas and principles we have worked on this
past week in practice," Lincoln coach Aaron Paskvan said. "We need
to build off it and put the ball in the back of the net. We are also
getting healthy, which again helps us. Stacy Parrillo returned from
an ankle injury and had a very good game."
Valparaiso made all four goals in the
first half, scoring twice in the first five minutes, and the Lynx
were unable to recover. Diane Waters was in goal the first half and
had 10 saves. Sarah Musser made eight saves in the second half to
keep the hosts off the scoreboard. Valparaiso finished the game with
22 shots on goal and Lincoln College had just 10.
The loss
drops the Lady Lynx to 0-4 before they play host to Lewis & Clark on
Tuesday.
