Augistine Barboza scored the only goal
of the first half, on an assist from Adrian Contreras, to give the
Lynx a 1-0 lead. In the second half Santos Omar Rodriguez scored
with an assist from Pat Maxwell, and the Lynx increased the lead to
3-0 on a goal by Contreras, with the assist going to Carl
Bartholomay.
Kennedy King scored its lone goal with
17 minutes left in the game.
"We played
very well and moved the ball exceptionally well," said Lincoln coach
Ben Massena. "Rodriguez played an outstanding game, and Chris
Pettineo was outstanding in goal once again." Pettineo was credited
with 14 saves in the contest.
