[SEPT.

The Oasis, Logan
County's senior citizen center, 501 Pulaski St. in Lincoln, is open
weekdays (except holidays) from 9 a.m. to 4 p.m. The center is also
open on Friday and Sunday nights for table games. Dominic Dalpoas is
the executive director. Activities are open to all Logan County
senior citizens, regardless of membership.

Bingo
Starting at 1 p.m. Thursday there will
be bingo games with nutritious prizes and a lot of laughs. Join us.
This week's games are sponsored by the University of Illinois
Extension.
Alzheimer
support group
The regular monthly meeting of the
Alzheimer support group is scheduled for Thursday at 1 p.m. Support
and information is available for anyone needing assistance. No
reservation is necessary.
Glaucoma
screening
An optometrist will be available by
appointment at the senior center from 1 to 3:30 p.m. Friday for
glaucoma screenings. Please call 732-6132.
Tuesday
lunch
Pick up your $3.75 ticket by Monday,
Sept. 20, for beef stew, biscuits, salad and dessert on Tuesday.
Sign up for the pinochle challenge with Taylorville and the lunch is
only $3.25.
September birthday party
Join us Monday, Sept. 20, at 1:30 p.m.
for the special celebration of all September birthdays. Guests are
welcome. There will be games, entertainment, cake and ice cream. No
reservation is necessary.

Think
tank
The Wednesday, Sept. 22, session at 9
a.m. will feature Dale Voyles, chairman of the Logan County Board,
discussing current board issues. No reservation is necessary.
Game
winners
Christine March and Larry Van
Bibber
were the weekly pinochle winners. On the
weekend Marie Rogers and
Les Van Bibber won. The
rummy winners were Judy Morrow, Ann Greger,
Rose Anderson and Betty Burger.
