LC now stands at 8-4 for the season.
Last year the Lynx finished the season at 7-21.
Kristin Majka led the Lynx with eight
kills, eight points and six digs. Erica Lill had five kills, six
points, six aces and six blocks. Also contributing big-time for the
Lynx were Danielle Crum with four kills and six blocks; Samantha
McCoy with eight digs, five points and two aces; and Sarah Klawitter
with 11 set assists and five points.
"We played very well in all aspects of
the game tonight (Tuesday)," LC coach Mark Tippett said. "We have
been passing the ball much better as of late, and tonight that
allowed us to control the flow of the match. Defensively we were
solid all night long, especially blocking at the net. Our middle
hitters, Lill and Crum, played extremely well tonight. This win
should give us plenty of confidence going into the weekend
tournament."

Lincoln College will compete in the
first-ever Region 24 tourney Friday and Saturday in Springfield.
"The
tournament is not designed to find a winner, but rather a way for
teams in our region that normally do not play each other to get a
match in before seeding the regional tournament at the end of the
season," Tippett said. "We will play five matches against teams from
the southern half of the region."
