LC beat Danville Area College by scores
of 30-26 and 32-30. John A. Logan then defeated Lincoln College by
scores of 30-28 and 30-22. Shawnee beat the Lynx 30-17 and 30-23 to
complete the Saturday matches.
"We played a solid match against
Danville, and we controlled the first game from the start and won a
hard-fought second game," said LC coach Mark Tippett. "I was pleased
with our effort against John A. Logan because they have a very
athletic team. We stepped up our game and played right with them,
coming up a bit short. We never really got it together against
Shawnee after a long layoff between games.

"Even though we came out of the weekend
with just one victory, I feel it was a valuable learning experience
