[APRIL 1, 2005]  SPRINGFIELD -- Krystina Gomez and Kelly Nader led the Lincoln College softball team to a doubleheader victory over Springfield College here Thursday afternoon, running the Lynx record to 3-11 for the season. The Lady Lynx will play at Quincy on Saturday against John Wood College.

"Krystina threw a great game, with five strikeouts and no walks," said Lincoln coach John Andrews. "She was strong from the first inning to the end. She was never really in any kind of trouble. We got six strong innings from Kelly in the second game, and Krystina came on to shut them down in the seventh inning."

Maleaha Hayward and Christie Frasco had a pair of hits each to lead the Lynx in the first game, while Nader, Tiffany Tungate and Jen Clemings each collected one safety.

Hayward continued her strong hitting in the second game by banging out three hits and was joined in the three-hit parade by Chonita Ziegler. The Lynx collected nine hits in the second game.
