Football booster kickoff

The Railer Football Boosters are kicking off
the season with their annual membership drive through Aug. 20. The
boosters provide a variety of support for the team and coaching
staff, including safety equipment, additional coaching staff
salaries, team dinners the day before the game, homecoming fireworks
and decorations, sports banquet and awards, and many other
motivational items.

Anyone can be a Railer Football Booster and assist in the success of
the team. Membership is $30 for parents and team fans, $25 for past
players, and $20 for individuals. All members receive a Lincoln
Railer decal and are listed in the Fall Sports Program Book compiled
by the Football Boosters club. New this year is an opportunity to
join the "Extra Point Club" by giving 1½ times your regular
membership. Extra Point Club members will be listed in bold print in
the program book and receive a free ad to send a message to the team
or a special player.

 Equipment handout for the Railsplitter football team is scheduled
for today (Monday), with practice beginning Wednesday. The players,
coach and staff have pledged themselves to make this year's theme,
"One Heart, One Mind, One Goal -- 2005 Playoffs," a reality.
"Meet the Railers" will be Aug. 19. Come and support the Railers!
