Lincoln Christian College women's volleyball team receives national academic award      

[AUG. 12, 2005]  The 2004-2005 Lincoln Christian College women's volleyball team has been honored with the Volleyball Team Academic Award by the American Volleyball Coaches Association. This marks the third year in a row LCC has won the award. The team averaged higher than a 3.3 grade-point average on a 4.0 scale in order to receive the award.

LCC was the sole representative of the award in the National Christian College Athletic Association Division II, and only 161 colleges and universities in the nation received the honor.

The Angels finished last season with a 26-8 record and were the runner-ups in the NCCAA Division II National Championship.
