Logan County treasurer's office extends hours for property tax payments          Send a link to a friend

[AUG. 15, 2005]  The Logan County treasurer's offices -- in the Logan County Courthouse and at the Dr. John Logan Building drive-up window -- will be open to receive tax payments the last Saturday of the month, Aug. 27, from 8:30 to noon.

On Sept. 2 a penalty of 4.5 percent will be charged on any unpaid first installment of real estate taxes, and a penalty of 1.5 percent will be charged on any unpaid second installment of taxes.

Warning letters will be mailed Sept. 16. Certified letters will be mailed Sept. 23. Publication of any unpaid real estate, drainage or mobile home taxes will be on or before Sept. 30.

The annual tax sale for any unpaid taxes will be Oct. 24 at 10 a.m. in the first floor courtroom. All tax buyers must be registered in the Logan County treasurer's office at least 10 days prior to the sale. Judgment day is Oct. 17.
