Lincoln College student group to host mayoral debate     Send a link to a friend

[JAN. 18, 2005]  Lincoln College's Union of Student Activists will host a mayoral debate on Monday, Jan. 24, at 7 p.m. in the Johnston Center for Performing Arts on the college campus.

The three filed Republican candidates for mayor and the one Democratic candidate will participate. The primary election is Feb. 22.

Moderating the panel will be Rob Eilts, advertising sales manager at The Courier. Assisting on the panel to screen audience questions will be Jan Youngquist, editor of LincolnDailyNews.com; Ron Schilling, president of Lincoln College; and Sharon Pierce.

The debate is free and open to the public, with light refreshments to follow.

The Union of Student Activists is a Lincoln College student organization committed to advancing political awareness and promoting citizen involvement. The organization is nonpartisan and does not endorse or promote any particular candidate, party or political viewpoint.
