Lincoln Christian
College is proud to announce that its 2004 men's and women's soccer
teams have been honored by the National Soccer Coaches Association
of America with the Team Ethics Award of Merit, an award presented
annually to soccer programs whose teams display a high level of
personal conduct and sportsmanship on the field during
regular-season play.

The men were honored with the bronze
award as one of fewer than 80 programs across all levels of
collegiate competition to accumulate fewer than 10 cautions the
entire season, and the women were given the prestigious gold award
as one of only five programs in the entire country to not receive a
caution or ejection all season long. In addition, Lincoln Christian
College is one of only 33 schools in the entire country to have both
teams honored in this fashion.
"Anytime that a group of young people
can be honored by a national body organization for achieving
excellence, it is a great day," noted LCC coach Jason Hoenshell.
"For our teams to be honored for showing our Christian values on the
soccer field, that is something they all can be proud of; and for an
institution such as ourselves to be recognized alongside schools
like Johns Hopkins and Princeton for this sort of thing, it's a huge
reinforcement of the values that we teach and coach here."
