One ethanol plant considering Lincoln/Logan County

[JAN. 21, 2005]  Lincoln and Logan County Development Partnership director Rob Orr contacted Lincoln Daily News to correct some misinformation. To the best of his knowledge, Orr said, there is only one ethanol plant planning to locate here. That is Illini Bio-Energy.

The ethanol plant from Iowa that contacted the Logan County Economic Development Committee is not looking to develop in any other territory. They are doing fund-raising and gathering corn commitments from Illinois farmers to expand their site in Iowa.

It was a misinterpretation on the part of LDN that the Iowa company was also interested in developing here.
