A generous financial donation from Larry Van
Bibber was acknowledged during the May meeting of The Oasis board of
directors. At a dedication and meal May 19, Van Bibber and his
family were formally recognized for his unselfish gift to the senior
center.

Van Bibber's donation to the center for the 2005 calendar year
exceeds $25,000, qualifying him as the first individual brass plaque
contributor in the Reflections program. His wishes for the donation
were that the funds be placed in reserve to help The Oasis continue
its efforts to offer services and programs for seniors in the years
to come. The "Reflections" mural, located in the activity area at
The Oasis, has a color-coded key to indicate the level of
contributions made to the center. A brass plaque represents a gift
of $25,000 or more; a red plaque represents $10,000-$24,999.99; a
blue plaque represents $5,000-$9,999.99; a green plaque represents
$1,000-$4,999.99; and a black plaque represents $500-$999.99.

the generosity of individuals and organizations that give money to
the center in order to maintain and expand services for senior
