In the first game, Lincoln won 12-2 in five innings. John Foley
picked up the win, striking out nine batters, walking three and
allowing one earned run on only one hit. Foley's record is 1-0.
Leading the offense was Paul Phillips with four hits, including a
double, while driving in two. Others aiding the Lincoln offense were
Drew Olson with three hits, including a double and two RBIs; Tyson
Durst with three hits and two RBIs; and Chance Berger with three
hits and one RBI.
In the second game, Lincoln won 13-3 in six innings.

Carl Spath was the winning pitcher, going six innings, making his
record 2-0. He gave up two earned runs on five hits while striking
out eight.
Leading the Lincoln offense was Chance Berger, going 3-4 with a
solo home run in the sixth. The rest of the Lincoln attack included
Eric Broughton with two hits and two RBIs, Paul Phillips with two
hits and an RBI, and Gary Rademaker with two hits and an RBI.
Lincoln Post 263 is now 4-1 and will host Rantoul Post 287 in an
11 a.m. doubleheader Saturday at Pete Andrews Baseball Complex.
