[JUNE 22, 2005]  Lincoln American Legion Post 263 defeated Monticello 13-3 Wednesday evening at Pete Andrews Baseball Complex. The win makes Lincoln's record 7-1.

Aaron Altman made his record 1-0, pitching a complete game. He allowed only one earned run while scattering 10 hits, all singles, and striking out three. He stranded nine Monticello base runners.

Offensively, four Lincoln players had three hits. Eric Broughton and Alex Dahm each had three hits, two of those triples, and two RBIs. Tyson Durst had three hits with one RBI, and Chance Berger had three hits with three RBIs. Tim Guy added two hits with two RBIs. Kevin Carroll hit his second home run of the year with a solo shot off the left field scoreboard on the first pitch of the sixth inning.

Lincoln plays a road game Wednesday evening against Springfield Post 32 and hosts Peoria Post 2 Thursday evening at 6.
