2005 Illinois State Fair searching for talent to entertain fairgoers        Send a link to a friend 

Seeking all types of entertainers to perform on free stages throughout the fairgrounds during the 10-day event

[MARCH 30, 2005]  SPRINGFIELD -- The Illinois State Fair is looking for musical talent as well as other performance artists to perform gratis at this year's 2005 event. It's a chance to get more exposure and make thousands of new fans every day as you perform with your musical group.

Selected artists will be able to showcase their talent on one of the numerous outdoor free stages offered this year throughout the fairgrounds, with daytime and evening bookings available.

Interested parties are required to submit a promotional packet consisting of the following information: name of the band, contact person, address, day and evening telephone numbers, and demo of your band in CD, DVD or cassette tape form. All promotional material should be mailed to Illinois State Fair, Attn: Pati Kohlbecker, P.O. Box 19427, Springfield, IL 62794-9427. Promotional materials sent must be postmarked no later than April 29.
