I-55/I-57 Basketball Clinic update          Send a link to a friend

[MAY 9, 2005]  SAUNEMIN -- University of Illinois women's head coach Theresa Grentz will headline next weekend's I-55/I-57 Clinic in Saunemin. Grentz will be the final speaker on a day that includes Illinois Wesleyan head coach Scott Trost, U of I men's assistant coach Gary Nottingham and college basketball's winningest coach, Harry Statham of McKendree College.

Grentz will speak on low post play, which she says is probably one of her most favorite topics to speak on since she herself was a post player and has had the opportunity to develop several post players during her coaching career. Her second session will deal with the development of a 1-4 offensive set. Grentz says, "There are so many different options and possibilities with this offensive set that can be used to fit each team's personnel to have a successful and productive team."

Costs for the clinic are $45 for a head coach or member of the public. For additional staff members or guests, the cost is $35 each. Preregistration prices are available up until Friday, May 13. Registrations are $5 more at the door that day. Lunch will be provided.
