Illini Central Middle School boys and girls teams headed for state          Send a link to a friend 

[OCT. 10, 2005]  LOGAN COUNTY -- The Cougar cross-country teams ran at the IESA sectional meet at Porta. For the first time in school history both teams qualified to represent Illini Central school district at the IESA State Meet. The girls teams lead by Seirra Burris placing 11th helped the team place 3rd overall behind Tremont and Porta. Vicki Bradshaw was 15th, Sammie Dunker 21st, Haley Hilton 25th, Lindsey Carter 31st, Emily Martin 46th and Brittani Kreiling 48th.

The IC boys placed 2nd behind the host Porta. The boys race was won by Mitchell List with a time of 11:41. Alex Bradshaw followed right behind for 2nd, Garrett Swanson 15th, Steven Ingersoll 19th, Raymond Allen 21st, Bradley Pence 24th and Lucas Frye 25th.

The state meet is held in Normal at Maxwell Park next to Normal Parkside school. The girls race will start at 10:00 am and the boys will be 10:45 am on Oct. 15. The race is free for all the fans to watch and cheer their favorite runners on.
