Owl Prowl set for this weekend           

[OCT. 25, 2005]  DECATUR -- The Illinois Raptor Center will host its annual Owl Prowl fundraiser from 7 to 9 p.m. Friday-Sunday. Doors will open at 6:45 p.m. Participants are asked to bring a flashlight and wear weather-appropriate clothing for a short hike to the Sangamon River to call in owls.

The Owl Prowl is the only program of its kind in the state to incorporate nearly every owl that nests or migrates through Illinois into one presentation -- all live and up close.

Refreshments will be served after the hike.

The cost is $15 per person and $7.50 for children 12 and under accompanied by an adult. Seating is limited.
