[OCT. 26, 2005]  Handling the financial pressures that accompany separation and divorce is the subject when the DivorceCare support group meets from 7 to 9 p.m. Monday at Jefferson Street Christian Church, 1700 N. Jefferson St.

DivorceCare is a video seminar series featuring experts on divorce and recovery topics, such as coping with loneliness and depression, new relationships and single parenting. Each session also includes group discussion.

"Financial Survival" focuses on key financial issues related to divorce and offers suggestions for achieving financial stability as quickly as possible. The video, which features the late Larry Burkett, identifies three "budget busters" and how to make ends meet. Burkett was founder of the world's largest Christian financial counseling organization and author of several books, including "The Complete Financial Guide for Single Parents."
