Offering will go to Red Cross Hurricane Katrina relief efforts

[SEPT. 12, 2005]  Lincoln Christian College and Seminary invites you to "A Concert of Keyboards in the Chapel" on Friday at 7:30 p.m. The stage of the Earl C Hargrove Chapel Auditorium will be filled with 15-20 Yamaha electronic keyboards, all played simultaneously, forming a virtual symphonic orchestra.

Nationally recognized Yamaha educator and composer Susan Ogilvy will conduct the "keyboard orchestra."

Professors of music and worship from the following schools will be playing the keyboards: Lincoln Christian College and Seminary, Atlanta Christian College, Cincinnati Christian University, Dallas Christian College, Kentucky Christian University, Nebraska Christian College, Ozark Christian College and St. Louis Christian College.

In addition to the keyboard ensemble, special guest Yamaha artist George F. Litterst will perform as a soloist on the Yamaha Disklavier, an electronic grand piano.

Concert selections will be taken from classical, jazz and sacred literature and will include multimedia presentations.

The benefit concert, sponsored by Lincoln Christian College and Seminary and the Yamaha Music Corporation, is open to the public and free of charge. At the conclusion of the program, a free-will offering will be received for the Red Cross, to be used in the Hurricane Katrina relief effort.
