Logan County Courthouse Centennial Parade “Looking Back, Moving Forward”           Send a link to a friend

[SEPT. 19, 2005]  LINCOLN -- The parade begins at the Logan County Safety Complex at 1 p.m. sharp on Saturday, Nov. 5, 2005.

Registration and lineup begin at 12:15 p.m. at the corner of Broadway and Hamilton Streets.

We are celebrating the 100th anniversary of the dedication of the Logan County Courthouse. It was originally dedicated on November 9, 1905. All entries are encouraged to be consistent with this theme as a tribute to the historical significance of the Courthouse. If your entry includes a motor vehicle, please support the parade theme by using a classic or antique car or other vehicle. Horses, carriages & other animal powered vehicles, floats or other entries are welcome. Be creative!

In keeping with tradition of the parade 100 years ago, we request that entries do not distribute candy or treats as you march.

The parade will begin at the corner of Broadway and Hamilton will proceed to Pulaski Street, to Kickapoo Street, to Broadway and back to Hamilton Street.
