Sysco Project Financing Nears Completion

[SEPT. 20, 2005]  LINCOLN -- The ok was given to secure Debt Certificates from First MidState at $33,000 per year for ten years. The first payment will be made on the first year, rather than waiting a year in order to save more money on interest in the process.

City attorney Bill Bates said that final parcel of land acquisition will completed this week for $900,000 in land purchases.

Jr. High Parking

Three parking spaces in front of the Lincoln Jr. High will be reserved for school bus loading and unloading between the hours of 8 a.m. to 4:30 p.m. on school days.  The spaces were requested to help with handicapped student picked up and drop off.

 

Lift Station

Tentative approval was given to accept Lincolnwood lift station engineering contract with Donohue and Associates at $29,918.


West-side Storm Water and Drainage Study Greene and Bradford were awarded the engineering contract for a west-side storm water and drainage study at $25,000.

 

New Vests

Police Chief Robert Rawlins was given permission to purchase new vests with a matching grant.  The vests cost $665 each.  A grant has been provided at $6,716.  The city will pay $7,248.50.

 

Courthouse Parking Spaces Reserved Parking spaces are once again reserved for select courthouse officials.  Six spaces are reserved around the courthouse in the intergovernmental agreement between city and county. 

 

Appointment

Ron Keller has been appointed to the Lincoln Planning Commission.

 

City Ornament

The new city ornament features the Logan County Courthouse.  The courthouse was chosen for this year because of its centennial anniversary.  The ornament is available for purchase at the Main Street Lincoln office.
