Purdue Varsity Glee Club returns to Lincoln for encore concert       Send a link to a friend

[APRIL 17, 2006]  They've toured the world and played at the presidential inauguration, but perhaps you've seen them only on TV. That can change this month. All you need is a ticket for the April 29 performance of the Purdue Varsity Glee Club's "2006 Road Show" at the Earl C Hargrove Chapel on the campus of Lincoln Christian College and Seminary.

Over 1,000 people packed the chapel last year to hear these dapper young men perform a variety of music, from classical to contemporary and gospel to show tunes.

The Purdue Varsity Glee Club is a consistent crowd-pleaser. "As always, this year's group of young men features a wide range of talent," says Brian Breed, director of Purdue Musical Organizations. "Every year brings exciting new challenges which they pursue with great enthusiasm and pride."

The club's Lincoln performance is sponsored by Christian Homes.

"They have a very tight schedule and rarely play the same places two years in a row," said Dr. Larry Brandon, vice president of pastoral services for Christian Homes. "But last year's crowd was so great and the group felt so good about the show and Lincoln that they were willing to come back. We're very pleased to be able to bring them back for this encore concert. They're just a terrific group of young men, and I know everyone who comes will be blessed by the experience."
