MIDDLETOWN -- Saturday at 9:30 a.m. a free
genealogical workshop is scheduled at the Knapp Library-Museum, 101
S. Clinton. The workshop offers an opportunity to leave a legacy for
children and grandchildren, as well as helping researchers 50 years
from now by starting a family tree, continuing the process or
completing one family line. Help is available from friendly,
fun-loving people.

Leaders of the workshop are Bill Detmers of Normal, former president
and resident genealogist of the Logan County Genealogical and
Historical Society; Gary Freese, current genealogist of the same
society; and Pat Glenn, former regent of the Abraham Lincoln
Chapter, National Society Daughters of the American Revolution. All
three are experts. Detmers, assisted by Freese, will focus on
"Using the Census." Glenn, versed in courthouses and cemeteries,
will help with the round-table discussion of problems and questions.
