suspect arrested

In a joint investigation involving the
Logan County Sheriff's Department, the Lincoln Police Department and
the Logan County state's attorney's office,
detectives arrested a 16-year-old male juvenile for aggravated
robberies of Quick Way Foods and Kickapoo Mini Mart in February and
for a recent residential burglary in rural Logan County.

Detectives Shawn Kindred, from the sheriff's department, and Paul
Adams, from the police department, conducted a joint investigation
based on evidence acquired from the recent arrest of the 16-year-old
male in Atlanta.
Investigators were able to link the male to physical evidence at
the crime scenes of the robberies, and with other information the
investigators were able to develop, they arrested the 16-year-old
male at his residence at approximately 8 p.m. Wednesday.
The 16-year-old male was preliminarily charged with incidents at
Kickapoo Mini Mart, aggravated robbery at Quick Way Foods and the
residential burglary in rural Logan County. Further charges will be
forthcoming.
