[AUG. 10, 2006]  There is a moderate risk of severe thunderstorms across central Illinois Thursday and Thursday night. Severe weather is possible, as the Storm Prediction Center is monitoring a storm complex in northern Illinois. Damaging winds will be the main hazard, with frequent lightning and heavy rainfall also expected. After occasional showers and thunderstorms Thursday morning with a stationary frontal boundary in the vicinity, the storms may re-form later in the day as another weather disturbance moves into Illinois.

Spotter information statement

Spotter activation may be needed late Thursday afternoon and evening.
